Planning An Event at Health Sciences
The standard for events at Health Sciences is an inclusive one. Above all, events at Health Sciences should convey welcome, respect, and belonging. We will always strive to include those who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized. Event planners at WVU Health Sciences should make every effort to ensure that universal inclusivity and accessibility are hallmarks of their events as they provide avenues for faculty, staff, students, parents, and families, and the community to connect.
This page provides basic standards of protocol and guidelines for events at Health Sciences. All event planners are encouraged to become familiar with these standards and refer back to these pages as resources when planning their events.
Health Sciences Event Planner Starlette Reed directs and oversees all events coordinated through the Office of the Vice President and Executive Dean.
These events include Health Sciences graduation ceremonies, annual awards ceremonies, investitures, and student tours, among many others. All Health Sciences schools and programs are able to draw on the event planner’s support and expertise for their event-planning needs from inception, research, planning, and execution.
