Planning An Event at Health Sciences

The standard for events at WVU is an inclusive one. Above all, events should convey a welcoming and respectful environment. We will always strive to include those who might otherwise be excluded or marginalized. WVU Health Sciences event planners should make every effort to ensure that universal inclusivity and accessibility are hallmarks of their events as they provide avenues for faculty, staff, students, parents, families and the community to connect.
 
This page provides basic standards of protocol and guidelines for events hosted by members of the WVU Health Sciences community. All event planners are encouraged to become familiar with these standards and refer back to these pages as resources when planning events.
 
These events include Health Sciences graduation ceremonies, annual awards ceremonies, investitures and student tours, among many others. All Health Sciences schools and programs are able to draw on the event planner’s support and expertise for their event-planning needs from inception, research, planning and execution.
