Transportation and Parking

Student Health has convenient, free parking available for patients in the gated parking area next to decal lot 77. Ask for ticket validation when you checkout at your appointment.

University and public transportation options are also available to help students get to the clinic. PRT access is nearby at the Towers and Engineering stations. Check the PRT schedule for operating hours. The PRT is closed on University holidays and semester breaks.

WVU provides free bus transportation for students, faculty and staff on and around campus during regular school sessions (except holidays and break periods). Transportation to the Student Health Building is also available via Mountain Line bus stops located at Towers and Evansdale Crossing.

After Hours Care

If you need care after Student Health is closed, please visit WVU Urgent Care in Suncrest or at the Student Health Building for urgent medical needs. The Student Health Building is open Monday through Friday from 7:45 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. (closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and other WVU-recognized holidays). WVU Urgent Care in Suncrest is open every day (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) from 7:45 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Costs incurred at WVU Urgent Care will be billed to your insurance, and a co-payment may be required. Students are advised to review their insurance policy for more information before visiting WVU Urgent Care.

For emergency, life-threatening issues at any time, go to the nearest hospital emergency room. J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital is open 24/7, 365 days a year for emergency care.
