GME Video Requests

Video priorities for residency and fellowship programs are assessed and reviewed annually each September with the Office of Graduate Medical Education. Recruitment videos are produced in-house by the School of Medicine Marketing and Communications office, or in coordination with that office and a WVU and WVU Medicine-approved vendor.

SOM and GME leadership prioritize videos based on recruitment numbers. Additional factors may play into a decision to adjust a schedule. Additionally, the department or program being highlighted must meet filming deadlines to provide adequate editing and turnaround time.

Videos are intended to have a 3–4-year shelf life. Recruitment videos feature residents/fellows only, to provide an authentic first-hand experience view of the programs represented. Additional program director or chair's messages can supplement a program's overall recruitment video.

Requests must be submitted to the Marketing and Communications team for review, discussion, and approval by GME.

Program and Chair messages are filmed on the following dates. Please use the appropriate form to reserve your time.

• Fall 2026: 10/20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Winter 2027: 1/26 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Spring 2027:  4/20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

• Summer 2027: 7/20 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
