NOTICE: HSC South, WVU Cancer Institute Impacted by water line break - Update

On Tuesday, March 4, WVU Facilities was made aware of an internal water line break occurring during the early morning hours and impacting Health Sciences South and several associated clinical areas, including the Cancer Institute. 

Upon initial investigation, it appears the leak originated on the third-floor of the WV STEPS Simulation Center. The water then migrated to areas on the third, second and first floors. 

Panhandle Cleaning and Restoration has assessed the areas impacted by the water leak and is currently dispersing drying equipment and continuing clean-up. Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) will remain in communication with them as the situation progresses.
