Student Assembly vacancy application now open
The Student Government Association Select Committee on Legislative Vacancies and Appointments is seeking applicants to fill vacancies on the Student Assembly, including one College Senator to represent Health Sciences (Schools of Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy and Public Health).
All vacancies include:
- One (1) College Senator for Health Sciences
- One (1) College Senator for the College of Law
- Two (2) College Senators for the former College of Physical Activity and Sports Sciences
- One (1) College Senator for the Davis College of Agriculture, Natural Resources, and Design
- Two (2) College Senators for the John Chambers College of Business and Economics
- Two (2) College Senators for the Reed College of Media
Applicants for these positions must be full-time students with a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5. In the case of College Senator vacancies, applicants must be students within that respective College.
Those who are interested in filling these vacancies can apply online. The deadline to apply is Tuesday, August 30.
The SGA Select Committee on Legislative Vacancies and Appointments includes Vice President Pareera Uqaily, President Pro Tempore Azeem Khan, College Senator Bailey Cahill, Chief of Staff Sophia Flower and Treasurer Sohan Daniel. Following the application period, the committee will hold interviews with qualified applicants and then submit their recommendations to President Chloe Hernandez for her approval.
