Opportunity for Family Nurse Practitioner and Pediatric Nurse Practitioner students
The WVU Medicine Center of Excellence for Addiction and Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry are offering paid internships to students who are enrolled in a Nurse Practitioner program in the WVU School of Nursing.
This is an opportunity to learn more about clinical assessment and treatment of substance use disorders in general, to observe treatment in action, as well as to establish a better understanding of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for Opioid Use disorder with Buprenorphine specifically.
In addition to clinical experience, students will have the opportunity to attend education and training sessions for MAT – including WVCTSI’s Project ECHO, weekly grand rounds, etc.
