Eligibility

  • Medical students with financial need

Practice Sites

  • Participants must practice in West Virginia for each year of loan forgiveness in the field of family medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, general surgery, internal medicine, pediatrics or psychiatry and practice in an underserved area of West Virginia

Amount Available

  • $10,000/year in loan forgiveness for 4 years ($40,000 Total)

  • Loan forgiveness of $10,000/year is granted after each year of service while repayment is postponed
