WVU Rural Professional Readiness Opportunity (PRO) Program is a comprehensive program designed to elevate professional development for students in WVU's Institute for Community and Rural Health (ICRH) Student Programs. This initiative provides innovative training and collaborative experiences to equip students with essential skills for success in their future careers.

WVU Rural PRO Program Description

WVU Rural PRO is an annual, two-day event focused on aspects of professional and personal development for pre-health professions students with aspirations of entering a graduate health professions program. WVU Rural PRO: October 3-4, 2026, Erickson Alumn Center, Morgantown, WV.

Eligibility

• WVU Institute for Community and Rural Health students participating in:

• RUSH (Rural Undergraduate Shadowing in Healthcare) Program (requirement)

• PREP (Pipeline Rural Education Program) (requirement)

• Rural Health Interest Group Leadership Council (requirement)
