Seeking career and life mentors for undergraduate students
WVU Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology Department, in collaboration with the WVU School of Medicine Health Professions and the WVU School of Public Health are looking for professionals to serve as career and life mentors to undergraduate students. Standing desk not the answer to decreasing blood pressure, WVU research shows
Alternating between sitting and standing at work decreases sedentary behavior, but it has no effect on lowering blood pressure, according to a study led by a West Virginia University epidemiologist. Researchers also found that too much standing during work may have negative effects on cardiovascular health.
