WVU student nurses join “Nurses Day at the Legislature”
Nurses were invited Feb. 10 to the West Virginia State Capitol to meet with legislators, attend committee meetings and get to know nursing policy leaders during “Nurses Day at the Capitol.” Several West Virginia University School of Nursing students attended the event, including Jenna Wermers and Ateria Walker, who are members of the WVU Student Nurses Association.

The WVU Division of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, in partnership with the Hearts of Gold Service Dog Program, Carruth Center and the WVU Faculty and Staff Assistance Program, hosted an opportunity to destress with some puppy love Feb. 17 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Health Sciences Center.

WVU to ease mask policy in some indoor spaces, mask requirements for classrooms, labs will continue
As infection and hospitalization rates from COVID-19 decrease, West Virginia University will lift mask requirements for individuals in indoor spaces, regardless of vaccination status, effective immediately. However, the University will continue to require masks in all classrooms, labs or any WVU System facility or building being used as a classroom. Masks will continue to be required for all persons in all indoor locations of the Health Sciences Campuses.
