We gather in both sorrow and celebration to honor the life and spirit of Sister Cheryl Lewis Williams, a beacon of love and faith, who was called to her heavenly home on September 24, 2024, completing a journey that began in Houston, Texas, on December 10, 1954. We recognize that while our hearts are heavy, the gates of Heaven have swung wide open to welcome a soul as vibrant as hers.
Annual, mandatory HSC employee cybersecurity training will now be done in InfoSec IQ system
As announced on Oct. 1 via Mountaineer E-news, all employees on all WVU campuses are now required to complete annual cybersecurity awareness training. This will begin Wednesday, Oct. 2. Employees with an @hsc.wvu.edu email account will no longer complete this training in SOLE and will be transitioned to Infosec IQ.

War legacies advocate to deliver WVU Global Health Week keynote address
The West Virginia University School of Medicine Global Health Program will welcome Sera Koulabdara to campus as part of Global Health Week, Oct. 7-10. Her keynote address, “Legacies of War: History, Healing and Hope,” is scheduled for Monday, Oct. 7, from noon to 1 p.m. in Health Sciences Center North room 1909 and via Zoom.

Courtney Riley has always had an interest in healthcare. Her academic journey at West Virginia University gave her experience in child development, psychology and communications, but her path took a turn and led her to the David and Jo Ann Shaw Center for Simulation Training and Education for Patient Safety.
