Health Sciences students and faculty are invited to participate in a research study which is intended to improve patient care and to better understand the attitudes towards people with disabilities among dental, dental hygiene, medical and nursing students.

Soon-to-be graduates support public health efforts through field placement experiences
As the needs of the community continue to be highlighted by the ongoing pandemic, West Virginia University School of Public Health students have been putting their classroom lessons into practice to support public health efforts across the state. Students in the B.S. in Public Health program highlighted their experiences during the Undergraduate Senior Showcase, an event that takes place at the end of each semester allowing students to discuss the work they’ve done leading up to graduation.
Health services management and leadership student recognized for academic success and commitment to excellence
West Virginia University undergraduate Anna Sellaro, a senior in the health services management and leadership program, was recognized by the Association of University Programs in Health Administration with the Bugbee-Falk Book Award.

Health Sciences students participate in Community Action Poverty Simulation event
The Martin Hall Agency, a student-run advertising and public relations agency in the West Virginia University Reed College of Media, partnered with the HSC Office of Interprofessional Education, the WVU School of Public Health, WVU School of Pharmacy and the WV STEPS Center in hosting the Community Action Poverty Simulation (CAPS) — a new certification available to all Health Sciences students.
