Dr. Hannah Hazard-Jenkins named permanent director of the WVU Cancer Institute
Hannah Hazard-Jenkins, M.D., associate chair of surgery for cancer services, has been named the permanent director of the WVU Cancer Institute after having served in the position on an interim basis since January.
WVU receives $25 million gift to support outdoor economic development, develop new remote worker program
A $25 million gift to West Virginia University from Intuit executive Brad Smith and his wife, Alys, will fund innovative new programs to ignite West Virginia’s economy, develop world-class recreational infrastructure and expand outdoor educational opportunities.

Diversity Week: School of Dentistry DEI Committee to showcase diverse cultures in poster display
As part of Diversity Week, the School of Dentistry's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Committee will showcase information about different ethnic groups in the school in a poster display. The display will be available Wednesday, Oct. 14 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the hallway to the right beyond the Pylons, between the School of Dentistry and the School of Pharmacy.
Diversity Week: MASH presents student panel on navigating health education as a person of color
As part of Diversity Week, the Multicultural Association of Students in Healthcare (MASH) will lead a student panel titled, "Navigating Health Professional Education as a Person of Color/Under-Represented Minority." The panel will be held Tuesday, Oct. 13 from 7 to 8 p.m. via Zoom.
