WV Project ECHO launches ECHO Memory Health
In collaboration with West Virginia Clinical and Translational Science Institute (WVCTSI), West Virginia University’s Rockefeller Neuroscience Institute (RNI), and the Alzheimer’s Association, WV Project ECHO (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcomes) will be launching a new ECHO Project around Memory Health this fall.
Health Sciences joins WVU Diversity Week with biomedical science and health-related events
West Virginia University’s annual Diversity Week, slated this year for Oct. 11-17, promotes the celebration, education and understanding of different identities and experiences of students, faculty and staff across campus. Virtual events are planned WVU-wide, as well as events specific to Health Sciences.
Test, isolate, communicate: Keys to controlling a COVID-19 outbreak in a long-term care facility
A new study led by Carl Shrader, a physician and researcher in the Department of Family Medicine in the West Virginia University School of Medicine, revealed the role that communication played in quashing a COVID-19 outbreak at Sundale, a long-term care facility in Morgantown.
