From performance injury evaluations to paper cranes: WVU Athletic Training alumna Val Bustamante discusses her journey with Cirque du Soleil

Cirque du Soleil shows are famous for their stunning aerial performances, world-class acrobatics, amazing contortion acts and captivating blend of theater, music and dance. While the audience is mesmerized by the magic happening on stage, Val Bustamante, a West Virginia University School of Medicine Athletic Training alumna, works behind the scenes to ensure the performers remain healthy and injury-free.

University community invited to on-campus presentation by National Institutes of Health director

West Virginia University will host Dr. Monica Bertagnolli, director of the National Institutes of Health, on Wednesday (March 27) on the Health Sciences Campus in Morgantown for a presentation at 3 p.m. in Fukushima Auditorium (HSC-North 1901). The event is open to WVU students, faculty and staff. Attendees are asked to register in advance, bring their WVU ID and arrive early to help manage space needs.
