Step away from the screen: short work breaks improve performance, mind

Zoom fatigue. Eye strain. Body aches. Working remotely can create challenges for your body and mind. Finding time to take breaks throughout the day can help alleviate stress, improve your mood and boost work performance. Lauren Weatherford, West Virginia University Extension Service Families and Health agent in Fayette and Nicholas counties, provides some tips on how to take effective breaks to improve focus and productivity.

Health Sciences classroom restrictions and in-person meetings

During the summer semester, the use of all Health Sciences (HSC) classrooms will be restricted to ONLY essential academic activities that cannot be held online (i.e. gross anatomy lab, simulation lab, etc.) and that are necessary to ensure the progression of our students.

Jarvis to join Office of Health Affairs

A long-time leader and staff member of the Office of Sponsored Programs will join a newly-restructured Office of Health Affairs in WVU Health Sciences. Cindy Jarvis has been named assistant director of research administration for the Office of Health Affairs after nearly 35 years with the OSP. 

WVU Football Set for Phased Return
