When she was a child in Colombia, Grace Garcia set a goal to become a dentist to help improve her mother's confidence. Grace is graduating and her number one patient is all smiles. "That makes me very proud. It makes me very happy. It makes me feel like everything I've done is definitely worth it."

The West Virginia University School of Dentistry Alumni Association celebrated distinguished alumni, alumni achievement and milestone anniversaries for the Doctor of Dental Surgery classes of 1963, 1968 and 1993.
MEET OUR GRADS: Aeshia McConnell
McConnell originally wanted to major in biology. It wasn’t long, however, before the native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, found herself considering another route. “I was initially going to be a biology major, but once on campus I was introduced to exercise physiology and was instantly drawn to it."
