VIDEO: Nursing faculty discuss innovative Clinical Assistant Program to support student curriculum
WVU School of Nursing faculty members discuss the Clinical Assistant (CA) program, formed during the COVID-19 pandemic, which pairs sophomore students with senior leadership students for a clinical assistant day. Curriculum is enhanced for both groups, as sophomores can learn from their peers, while the seniors can reinforce their knowledge and skillset. Students are also exposed to the role of the nurse educator, which can establish a pipeline for future educational and career opportunities.

Dillow brings 25 years of experience having lived and worked in the Mercer County area and has completed the West Virginia University School of Nursing’s Foundations in Faith Community Nursing Course as a means of additionally reinforcing her abilities and capacity for effective outreach.
