McConnell originally wanted to major in biology. It wasn’t long, however, before the native of Parkersburg, West Virginia, found herself considering another route. “I was initially going to be a biology major, but once on campus I was introduced to exercise physiology and was instantly drawn to it."

Rob Waldrop is a non-traditional student graduating from a calling he said he's had since he was 12. That calling is dentistry.

As a wife, a mother of six, a member of the Army National Guard and a fourth-year medical student at West Virginia University—to name just a few of the other activities she is involved in—Davis knows how to pursue her dreams and reach new milestones.
