Interprofessional Education Speaker Series to cover fall prevention
The WVU Health Sciences Center Interprofessional Education (IPE) Speaker Series will continue with a presentation from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, in Hostler Auditorium, located on the ground floor of HSC North. A four-person panel will discuss "A Community-Based Interprofessional Fall Prevention Project in an Assisted/Independent Living Facility."

The WVU Football team is joining the Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center and WVU Medicine to raise breast cancer awareness during the “Pink Game” on Oct. 10.
Tina Bland named clinical trials leader
Tina M. Bland, Ph.D., has been named associate director of clinical operations for the WVU Clinical and Pharmacologic Research Center. Bland has 15 years of pharmaceutical industry experience, most recently as a senior lead research scientist in pharmacokinetics and drug metabolism with Mylan Pharmaceuticals in Morgantown.

Influenza vaccine required for state employees working in patient care areas
