Scholarships available for tobacco treatment continuing education opportunity
The West Virginia University School of Dentistry is hosting a Certified Tobacco Treatment Training Program in May and scholarships are available to assist with registration and hotel accommodations. This course is recommended not only for dental professionals, but for physicians, physician assistants, dentists, dental hygienists, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, respiratory therapists, addiction treatment professionals, licensed professional counselors, and others who encounter individuals who use tobacco.

Delta Omega to offer online course: Managing Study, Stress, and Mental Health
The end of the semester is a very stressful time of year for many students. Do you know how to recognize and respond to mental health concerns, such as negative thoughts and behaviors, in both yourself and others? This online course will provide students with the knowledge and skills to properly understand how to handle this stress. The course is specifically tailored towards students and can be very helpful for getting through this time of year.
WVU internet service stable since midday Saturday; work to replace critical hardware underway
Internet service has been stable since it was restored around 12:30 p.m. Saturday (April 8). Unfortunately, WVU experienced a total of three outages this past week due to three different hardware failures.

‘No one deserves to be hurt’: WVU researcher develops toolkit to help victims of domestic violence
Danielle Davidov—a researcher with the West Virginia University School of Public Health—and her collaborators are developing research recommendations and a toolkit that will serve as a blueprint on ways to partner with survivors and other stakeholders to improve domestic violence screening processes within the healthcare setting.
