On WVU’s campus of Health Sciences the William A. Neal Museum of the Health Sciences tells the stories of health professions and their education at WVU. Showcasing the impactful contributions they’ve made in the world of medicine. Students are encouraged to visit the museum, not only to see the work of the brilliant minds that have come before them, but also use it as a source of inspiration. According to Health Sciences faculty like, Mahreen Hashmi, one specific exhibit that can serve as that source is the Tradition of the White Coat.
