Recently, you may have seen photos from around the east coast of hazy, smoky skies. That’s due to wildfires in Canada. Timothy Nurkiewicz, director of the Center for Inahalation Toxicology and Systems Toxicology Training Program at WVU, says the most important thing you can do to be mindful of your health is to check the air quality.

WVU in the News: WVU researcher uses ChatGPT to teach coding

Gangqing “Michael” Hu, associate professor with the West Virginia University School of Medicine Department of Microbiology, Immunology and Cell Biology recently explained how students can utilize ChatGPT to code in bioinformatics. Hu was able to capitalize on the workflows within the chatbot to teach students how to tweak chatbot prompts for optimal responses and ensure accuracy. Hu discussed this work in the State Journal and the journal Nature.
