‘Community of Giving’ pop-up shop to offer regifting option after the holidays
After the hustle and bustle of the holiday season settles, many people find that they’ve received duplicate gifts or items they can’t utilize. Passing it on to another person is a great way to recycle a gift. The WVU Health Sciences Community of Giving pop-up shop will provide an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to regift items after the holiday season.

I recently spent time with Mia, a fourth-year medical student in the School of Medicine’s Culinary and Lifestyle Medicine Track, and President Gee getting ready for the holiday season. Mia taught us how to prepare a homemade granola recipe that can be personalized with your favorite ingredients. The recipe is easy and healthy, and it’s perfect as a snack or as a topping for Greek yogurt. Mia explained that she loves this recipe because you know every ingredient and you can customize it to include what you like. It also makes for a great gift to give during the holidays.

Christian Falyar, a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) who earned his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the WVU School of Nursing in 1995, was inducted as a Fellow of the American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology (FAANA) during the AANA’s recent Annual Congress in Chicago.
