Medical pioneer and world-renowned surgeon Robert H. Bartlett, M.D., will present "ECMO: Past, Present and Future" at 8 a.m. Wednesday, June 17, in Okey Patteson Auditorium, located on the first floor of the Health Sciences Center.

WVU creates new doctoral degree in clinical and translational science
The new doctor of philosophy degree in clinical and translational science will consist of courses guided by a highly flexible framework tailored to each student's interest and background. Students will also conduct research in basic, population and clinical sciences. The degree will require 99 credit hours to complete.
Haut named chair of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry
Following a national search, the WVU School of Medicine has chosen one of its own faculty members, Marc W. Haut, Ph.D., A.B.P.P., to serve as the chair of the Department of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry. Dr. Haut was named interim chair in August 2014 while also serving as Psychology section chief, program director of neuropsychology, research advisor and professor in the Departments of Behavioral Medicine and Psychiatry, Neurology and Radiology.
